Restart computer not updating settings
If the upgrade to version 1511 is successful, then go back and do the disc cleanup again to get things ready for the August 2 Anniversary upgrade. First issue is that I need to use a specific older driver for my AMD graphics card and windows 10 continues to update the driver automatically and causes my system to crash. Also, I have found that if I notice the notification that a restart is required for an update, either in the notification area or on the power icon, that going to settings, updates and security, and clicking the restart button there is more effective to get the updates to install.
If you'd like to become a Windows 10 Insider, there's also a section for that.Windows Defender also has a section in the Update & security tab, though it hasn't been banished from the Control Panel like Windows Update. In this section, you can toggle different Windows Defender options, including real-time protection, cloud-based protection, and automatic sample submission.Windows updates have been working fine until recently.
